Each cottage will bear the name of it's Sponsor (i.e. the Any-Town Cottage, Charity-Church Cottage, or Your-Company Cottage) and will be furnished at the discretion of the sponsor or sponsoring organization. The idea is to surround the resident with a certain level of comfort that she will want to aspire to in life away from The Christmas Village. Many of our resident guests will come from families with little means or from tough urban areas. We hope to show them a better way and arm them with the knowledge and decision-making process that will allow them to achieve a better lifestyle for their child. Each cottage will have the same design. Four (4) private bedrooms sharing two full bathrooms accessible from a common area with a sofa, easy chairs, coffee table, and television. A screened patio with rocking chairs where the residents can watch a sunrise or sunset overlooking the lake while enjoying the company of her cottage-mates or passers-by from other cottages on the walking track. The second floor is a one-bedroom apartment to be occupied by a chaperone or house mother. We are discussing with area colleges with church affiliations (MC, Millsaps, Belhaven) of hiring honors students who are earning a degree in counseling or social work. Have you seen the architect's
