  What is The Christmas Village?
The Christmas Village will be a special & safe place for women who fear that their only choice is abortion or adoption when they are faced with an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. The Christmas Village will provide emotional, financial, medical and spiritual support for its residents.  The Christmas Village believes in the Sanctity of Life.

  Where is The Christmas Village?
The Christmas Village will be located in central Mississippi. The campus will be in a safe & serene setting away from distractions of the city.  Each resident guest will occupy a bedroom suite  furnished with all the necessities for a comfortable stay during her pregnancy and for a transitional period after delivery of her baby.

What will The Christmas Village expect of me?
Each resident agrees to cooperate with the staff and other residents in an effort to provide the best enrichment for all mothers and babies. You will need to be at least 18 years of age and pregnant to be welcomed as a resident guest.  All of our resident guests are expected to be students, working, or a combination.  The Christmas Village will work with area employers to find temporary jobs, and there will be ways to be self-sufficient working on campus.

What will it cost me at The Christmas Village?
All guest needs will be met by The Christmas Village at no charge to the guest.  While here, The Christmas Village will help all resident guests develop budgets and money management.  All of our resident guests will be expected to contribute to their own well-being; a lesson in self-sufficiency that will be helpful after their stay at The Christmas Village.  If you would like to help defray costs, please consider a donation to The Christmas Village Foundation.

How long can I stay at The Christmas Village?
Guest residents can stay during the pregnancy and during a transition period after the birth of your child, not to exceed one year.

Is it worth taking a year out of my life to be at The Christmas Village?
During your stay, you will be assisted in developing job, educational, life and (if necessary) parenting skills. This can be a long term investment in the rest of your life, well worth the time you spend during a crisis pregnancy.

How will I be helped at The Christmas Village?
There are many options you can choose. At The Christmas Village, we would help you develop parenting skills or provide you access to all the information about the adoption process.  You are also provided very nice accommodations, meals, and access to improvement in all aspects of life.

Can I continue my education while I am at The Christmas Village?
Yes!  We encourage all of our guest residents to continue your education.  If you have not finished high school we would help you attend the local school system or obtain a GED.  If you attend an institute of higher learning, we partner with area colleges and universities to allow you to transfer (credits and financial aid) for the duration of your stay.  On campus, there are also studies in life skills that will be useful throughout your life.

What will happen to my baby after it is born?
That is your decision.  We will prepare you, to the best of our ability, to help you come to the decision that you feel is best for your baby and yourself.  We will not pressure you to parent or to place your child for adoption, but believe that God has a purpose for every soul and will promote the sanctity of life.

Can I work when I am a resident at The Christmas Village?
Work is a first priority, after school.  The Christmas Village staff will help place you with temporary employment in the local area if you are new to the area and not currently employed.  There will also be opportunities to learn entrepreneurial skills on campus to assist with your living expenses and fundraising for The Christmas Village.

What happens to me when I am "done" at The Christmas Village?
That is a question that you will be prepared to answer at that time.  You may want to return to your family home, continue your studies, or strike out on your own.  With God’s help, you will be equipped to handle any and all situations or know where to go for help.

How can I contribute to The Christmas Village?
The Christmas Village accepts time, talent, encouragement, and, yes, monetary donations.  Please contact us at info@thechristmasvillage.org or click here.
