Praise the Lord for plumbers from Buford Mechanical and Hinds Community College for their work at the house.  All other renovations were at a standstill until we got the water running in the house.  While speaking to Briarwood Presbyterian on a Wednesday night a couple of weeks ago someone suggested we call Howard Buford.  They have had a crew in Canton for us overseeing the trainees in Hinds CC's trade school for plumbing.  By Wednesday of next week the work will be completed. 

We also need to thank some of the area suppliers for their donations and reduced rates for many of the fixtures. 

We need anyone that can help us with electrical wiring to meet us either November 11th, November 18th, or call and perhaps we can meet to work during the week sometime.  601-853-7687.

Decorating The House for Christmas

Canton is known as the City of Lights during the holidays.  We want to contribute to the air of celebration of Christmas by lighting and decorating the house on XXX.  If you will be willing to attend, please call Michael at 601-853-7687.

Saturday, December 2nd, we are asking volunteers to bring one strand of outdoor lights (white strand, net, or icicle) and help us string lights on the house.  We will run extra outlets in preparation.  This is a great opportunity for youth groups that want a service project.

Fundraising update

We deposited over $5,000 in October.  Our 'Park and Ride' service for the Canton Flea Market netted us $903 which WalMart has told us they would match.  A local church donated $3,000 and collections at women's meetings, memorials, and individual donations made up the rest.

We received an initial accounting of pledges from 'Birdies For Charities' program through the Southern Farm Bureau Golf Classic.  Pledges to the Christmas Village Foundation are $4,970.  We will also be able to share in a bonus pot of money for exceeding $3,000.

God continues to shower us with blessings.  He is giving us the provision necessary as we begin paying the expenses of a house.
