In case you missed our last newsletter, this is a picture of the house we will be renting in Canton as the official headquarters (both office and residence). Great progress is being made on the house. We are ready for the plumbing in the bathrooms. Click on the house to see a list of needs that you, your church, Sunday School class or company can help with.
If you have items that you would like to donate, please contact us at 601-853-7687. The use of a trailer has been donated by Percy Thornton, owner of Utility Trailers, to store donations until we move into the Canton location. The trailer is located in the back parking lot of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
In September, Ridgeway Baptist Church near Vicksburg donated a 1989 Ford 15-passenger van. Thank You! We would also like to thank Manning Tire Company in Canton for agreeing to help with initial maintenance & repairs.

Capacity Building Grant Awarded to The
Christmas Village
We received a call this week from Senator Cochran's office giving us the great news that we will be awarded a capacity building grant of $48,000. This grant provides for money to be spent for The Christmas Village to create a Christian Women's Job Corp, including the curriculum, computer and network equipment, and other related expenses.

for Charity |

The Christmas Village Foundation raised over $3,000 in pledges and donations in the Birdies for Charity (BFC) fundraiser. Also, out of 80+ charities that participated in the BFC, we ranked #4 which qualified us to participate in their Fan Fair on Saturday, Sept. 30, where additional donations were collected. As one of the top 4 charities, it also qualifies us to participate in a pro-rata share of a $15,000 donation from Century Club Charities (CCC). |

| Our October fund raiser will be the day of the Canton Flea Market, Thursday, Oct 12. We will be providing parking in our backyard for a minimum donation of $5 per person. You will receive a tax statement for any amount donated over $5. Once parked, you will be given bottled water or lemonade and shuttled to the square (3 blocks away) in the Christmas Village van. Also, we have submitted a proposal to WalMart to request matching funds for this fund raiser. If approved, they will provide matching funds up to $1,000. Here's how you can help: | |

hand-painted, numbered piece that retails for $750.
This item was donated for our silent auction in July, but did not receive a minimum bid. Therefore, we will use it for our next fundraiser |
