Housing – Each
resident/client will be provided with a private
bedroom and shared bathroom in a
cottage housing 4
clients and one resident assistant (RA).
There is a common area in each cottage
with a sofa, chairs, television and
refrigerator. For the safety of
our guests, no cooking is allowed in the
cottages. This allows various levels of privacy and camaraderie
for women in crisis pregnancy to make their Life decision of
parenting or adoption.
|
Clothing - Maternity clothing
donated from partner organizations will
be available for those unable to procure
their own. The Christmas Village
will also work to obtain discounts from
local merchants for residents who desire
to purchase their own. | |||||||||||
|
Meals –
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included
during the client’s stay; participation
in meal preparations and nutrition
classes will be part of the curriculum.
All meals are served in a group seating
in the main building.

their medical needs will be provided for
through volunteers at area OB-GYN’s
and hospitals. | |||||||||||
|
Security – The Christmas Village's first
priority is the safety of mother and child.
|
Spiritual –
The Christmas Village is a
non-denominational, multi-cultural
organization that believes the best
foundation in life is built on the
teachings of Jesus Christ. We will
provide for nightly devotionals held by
the resident assistants, weekly Bible
study provided by our church partners,
and transportation to church services at
the host church. | |||||||||||
|
Counseling
– During their stay at The Christmas
Village, our residents will have access
to a staff counselor as well as
volunteer counselors from our partners
for abuse, adoption, parenting and other
life skills. | |||||||||||
| Training – In order to prepare our residents when they leave The Christmas Village, we will require all clients to attend classes on computer skills, etiquette, childbirth, and life skills such as banking, budgeting, cooking, gardening, etc. Should a guest lack a high school education, she will be assisted in obtaining her G.E.D. and tutors will be available to help with math and communication skills. | |||||||||||
